How to Confidently Run A Business Project and Business Fair
Hosted by Rob from FI Educator
Have you been interested in having your students create their own businesses, actually sell to the public, and then showcase their work in a business fair?
but...
Are you worried they won't buy in? That they won't be able to transition from an idea to reality? That this will take an insane amount of time which you can't give right now because you're already drowning in work? That you've never started a business yourself, so how can you guide them through this process?
I had all of these concerns too, but I had the fortunate experience of doing a business project when I was in high school, and my old business teacher was willing to email back and forth with me to share how he ran the project, what he liked, what he didn't like, and what the expected hurdles were. That mentorship was invaluable in getting my first business project off the ground, and I want to provide that same guidance to you.
I want to show you what I've learned over the 5+ years of running this project and help you create an exciting experience for your students that they will remember for the rest of their lives. I'll walk you through the system I've honed over the past few years to make sure your students choose realistic ideas, continue moving forward with their business, make a profit, and produce a final display for a business fair that excites the rest of the students in your school to take your class (and gets other teachers and admin raving about the work you do)! Best part, it will actually be one of the most laid back parts of your year as you slip into a facilitator role and let the students follow the business pathway we set up for them.
Come join me where you can listen and learn all of my tips for running this project with ease. Just set aside an hour to watch it with a coffee, tea, or other beverage of your choice!
